SelectArc INOX 316L-17
Rutile-basic coated electrode with a coating that has very with very low moisture pick-up. Smooth fusion, without spatters, self releasing slag, exceptional bead appearance and restriking.
E316L-17 electrodes are designed to weld in the flat and horizontal position, with a self peeling slag.
For welding and cladding on austenitic Cr-Ni-Mo stainless steels and clad plates. For service temperatures from -120°C up to +400°C in the chemical and petrochemical industries, refineries, food industry and in shipbuilding to weld pipes, tanks, heat exchangers, pulp and paper

What is the difference between Stainless Steel (-16) vs (-17) Stick Welding Electrodes?
(-16)
Rutile specified
At least 50% rutile flux composition with some basic flux materials
All-position
Convex weld bead appearance
Application: All-around stainless stick welding
(-17)
Rutile specified
Al teast 50% rutile flux composition with some basic, acid, and/or Iron-oxide materials
All-position with less control compared to (-16)
Flat to concave weld bead appearance
Application: Fillet welds requiring near-flat transition at the weld toe
